sendmoments GmbH, a German-based online print shop, has installed an HP Indigo 100K digital press at its new production site in Pfarrkirchen, to further expand its digital print offering. Founded in 2010 as Schulz & Nadler GmbH, the Munich-based printing company has been operating as sendmoments GmbH since 2012. The online print shop specialises in personalised stationery and photo products for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, and national and international festivals. In addition to greetings cards, the company’s portfolio also includes newspapers, photo books and murals.

The company’s latest investment, an HP Indigo 100K digital press, will be primarily used for the production of calendars and photo books. The new HP Indigo 100K will enable the company to increase their productivity, as well as assist with post-processing.

Already experienced users of HP’s Indigo technology at their production site in Munich, the decision to invest in the HP Indigo 100K was an easy one for sendmoments GmbH. The press’ improved productivity and cost-effectiveness, as well as the B2 format with which it is possible to print up to 6,000 B2 sheets per hour, were contributing factors in the decision to invest. The automated colour calibration during the printing process – which ensures maximum colour stability and saves valuable production time - was another important consideration for sendmoments GmbH and the decision to install the machine.

When speaking about their latest investment, Sven Binder, Chief Manufacturing Officer, sendmoments GmbH said, “We use a variety of machines at our Munich site and rely heavily on HP Indigo technology. The decision to buy an HP Indigo 100k was influenced by our experience of working with HP.”

“With the HP Indigo 100K, HP has once again convinced us of its high-level innovation and we now have access to the most innovative B2 printing system on the market,” continued Binder. “As the installation was straightforward and faster than expected, we have been able to ramp up our production shortly after commissioning.”
