swissQprint launches new large format printers: the 4×4 models of the Nyala 2 and Impala 2 series come configured with quadruple CMYK for impressive quality at high printing speed. And these printers are available now.The new 4×4 flatbed printers from swissQprint appeal to a customer segment demanding high output with uncompromising quality and vivid colours. This includes screen printers just as much as booth builders and large-scale digital print operations. High-quality POS items, displays, posters, banners, backlit and other similarly demanding media are just some of the applications.

For the 4×4 model in the swissQprint Nyala 2 series, printing in quality mode (100 m²/h) delivers the optimum, meaning an unprecedented speed-density ratio. Results are impressive in terms of brilliant colours as well as rendering of fine detail. swissQprint claims the largest colour gamut in fine art mode. Within an hour, this produces 57 m² of the highest-quality printing – for backlit applications, as one example.

Both the Nyala 2 (3.2×2 m flatbed) and the Impala 2 (2.5×2 m flatbed) are now also available as 4×4 models, meaning that each comes configured with four CMYK print heads. The colour configuration can be supplemented with an optional white or varnish channel to offer numerous possibilities: printing of background or multilayer white, or varnish for creating visual and tactile effects.

swissQprint’s characteristic modular design enables users to specify a large format printer that exactly matches their needs. Both UV printers can be equipped with a roll to roll option, or a board option capable of handling media up to four metres long, i.e. twice the print bed depth. Productivity-boosting tandem functionality comes as standard.

swissQprint recommends Rob for handling regular longer print runs. The robot loads and unloads rigid media onto the printer. It increases utilisation and smooths peak workloads by performing unmanned shifts. Rob is also compatible with the 4×4 models. The swissQprint 4×4 models are available now. Among customers who have already worked with a Nyala 2 large format printer for quite some time, the first have added the 4×4 solution to their machine pool.
